Partnerships with Title 1 Schools

Every Child Deserves a Book of Their Own

I’ve seen it firsthand: when children own books, everything changes.
They read more. They dream bigger. They show up to school more confident and curious.

But in many communities, book ownership just isn't a reality.

Why This Matters

In some low-income communities, there’s just one book at home for every 300 children.

In contrast, children in middle-income homes often grow up with 13 or more books of their own.

That gap isn’t just unfair—it’s holding kids back.

Studies have shown that when children own books, it helps them:

  • Build stronger reading and vocabulary skills
  • Perform better academically and stay in school longer
  • Strengthen bonds with family through shared reading
  • Develop curiosity, imagination, and a love for learning
  • Show up to school more prepared and confident
  • Take pride in something that’s truly theirs

Books don’t just support education — they unlock possibility.

I believe every child deserves a book they can call their own. Something they can take home, flip through at bedtime, and share with a sibling.

That’s why I’m partnering with generous individuals, businesses across the country to donate copies of my picture books to students in Title 1 schools—books they’ll own, keep, and cherish.

How You Can Help

Whether you’re an individual who wants to give back, a small business owner looking to support your local community, or someone who works at a company with a foundation, CSR team, or outreach program — this is a powerful way to make a real difference.

Your support is tax-deductible, customizable, and a meaningful way to invest in the next generation of thinkers, readers, and leaders.

Giving Options

You can give any amount — tiny drops make a mighty ocean. I've listed suggested gift tiers on the form to help guide you, but every contribution counts. To give you a sense of impact:

  • $10 sponsors 1 student
  • $1,000 sponsors one grade level
  • $2,000 sponsors one grade level PLUS customized author program
  • $6,000 sponsors the whole school

You can also help fund:

  • Additional books per student
  • Books for additional grade levels or the entire school
  • Donations to multiple schools in a district

Let’s work together to make a lasting impact — one book, one child, one school at a time.
