Classroom Book Sponsorships

For Community Partners, Businesses & Individuals

Every Child Deserves a Book of Their Own

I’ve seen it firsthand: when children own books, everything changes.

  • They read more.
  • They dream bigger.
  • They show up to school more confident and curious.

But in many communities, book ownership simply isn't a reality.

Why This Matters

In some low-income communities, there’s just one book at home for every 300 children.

In contrast, children in middle-income homes often grow up with 13 or more books of their own.

That gap isn’t just unfair—it’s holding kids back.

Studies have shown that when children own books, it helps them:

  • Build stronger reading and vocabulary skills
  • Perform better academically and stay in school longer
  • Strengthen bonds with family through shared reading
  • Develop curiosity, imagination, and a love for learning
  • Show up to school more prepared and confident
  • Take pride in something that’s truly theirs

Books don’t just support education — they unlock possibility.

Why I do this

I believe every child deserves a book they can call their own. Something they can take home, flip through at bedtime, and share with a sibling.

That’s why I’m partnering with generous individuals and businesses across the country to give new picture books to students in under-resourced elementary schools.

These are books children own, keep, and cherish.

Who Can Participate

This initiative is open to anyone who wants to make a tangible, local impact, including:

  • Individuals looking to give back in a meaningful way
  • Business owners supporting their communities
  • Companies with CSR, foundation, or outreach initiatives
  • Community organizations, fraternities, sororities, and service groups

You don’t need a large foundation to change a child’s experience — one classroom is enough.

Giving Options

You can give any amount — tiny drops make a mighty ocean.
To help illustrate impact, here are suggested sponsorship levels:

  • $10 = 1 book for one child
  • $250 = 25 books (every student in one classroom)
  • $1,000 = 100 books ( every student in one grade level)

How It Works

  1. Sponsor chooses a school (or I recommend one)
  2. Sponsor selects a grade band and quantity
  3. I coordinate all logistics and delivery
  4. Students receive books to take home
  5. Sponsor receives an impact update

An author visit can be added upon request.

You can also help fund:

  • Additional books per student
  • Books for additional grade levels or the entire school
  • Donations to multiple schools in a district

Let’s work together to make a lasting impact — one book, one child, one school at a time.

Thank you, Ada Ari, for visiting BBES and sharing your international cultural program with our Kindergarten students. Your presentation was engaging and meaningful, and the children were captivated by the experience. The students were especially surprised and delighted to receive their own books. We are also grateful for the signed copy you generously provided for the teacher.
