The Ashanti Golden Stool (Sika Dwa Kofi) isn’t just a seat—it’s the soul of the Ashanti people. According to legend, it was sent down from the sky by a powerful priest, making it the symbol of unity and leadership.

  • More powerful than the king – Even the Ashanti king (Asantehene) must honor it.
  • Started wars! – The British tried to take it in 1900, but Queen Yaa Asantewaa led a rebellion to protect it.
